What does LAMs mean?

The Learner Approved Motorcycle scheme (LAMs) applies to motorcycles that can be ridden by learners. These bikes have a capacity of up to 660cc and a power to weight ratio not exceeding 150 kilowatts per tonne, meeting the South Australian licensing authority specifications.
